HAPPY FLOWERS ALBUM

HAPPY FLOWERS ALBUM

Francesca Orlandi

Ciao a tutti!

Hello!

Today I want to show you this spring album, made with the "Base for Mini Album RECTANGLES" and the Covering Paper "Happy Flowers". The kit includes the ready-made structures of both the box and the album, you just need to cover them and insert the pages! Very fast to do! Now I'll explain how I did it.

BOX COVERING

First cover the two sides with the oblique cut and only then cover the sides.

FACADES WITH OBLIQUE CUT - 2 pcs of covering paper measuring 11.3 (H) x 13 (W) cm - Fold at 1 cm only along the two heights in order to create the side flaps that will be glued on the sides of the box. Do not fold along the other two sides which will be the bottom and top side. For the upper side, with the help of a pencil and the box, trace and then cut the oblique side, remaining abundant by about 1 mm. Glue them.

LATERAL SIDE: 1 pc of 11.3 (H) x 5 (W) cm covering paper and 1 pc of 7.1 (H) x 5 (W) cm covering paper. Glue them.

ALBUM COVERING

Also in this case, first cover the two covers and only then cover the spine of the album.

COVERS: 2 pcs of 15.8 (H) X 11.5 (W) cm covering paper - Fold at 1 cm along the 15.8 cm side, you will create the flap that will be glued on the back of the album. The other 3 sides do not have this flap because they are glued flush with the edge of the cover.

SPINE: 1 pc of lining paper of 15.8 (H) x 4.2 (W) cm or 1 pc of 13 x 6.2 with folds at 1 cm along both long sides to create flaps that will be folded and simply glue to the inside of the piece of paper itself, this just to better finish the edge. I also added decorative stitching.

PAGES

The binding is also simple, because the structure already has holes on the spine, so just puncture the inside pages and bind them with cotton thread. (3 strands of about 38 cm). To decorate them I slipped some sequins and some "Die Cut Happy Flowers". Since there are 3 rows of holes, I have created 3 booklets which when finished measuring 15.2 (H) x 9.8 (W). Each booklet consists of 2 cardstock (4 pages). If you want to increase the number of pages you can use 3 cardstock and you will have 6 pages.

The 2 or 3 cardstock will be folded and then inserted one inside the other, the measurements below, but you can indulge yourself by creating flaps on one side only, or adding others:

-1st cardstock (outermost): 29.6 (W) x 15.2 (H) cm - Folds on the long side at 5, 14.8 and 24.6 cm

-2nd cardstock: 19.4 (W) x 14.5 (H) cm - Folds on the long side at 9.7 cm (half)

-3rd optional cardstock: 21.2 (W) x 14.5 (H) cm - Folds on the long side at 5, at 14.7 cm.

DECORATION

To decorate the cover and the pages I used Double Side paper in various colors Pastel Yellow, Pastel Peach, Pastel Blue, Pastel Green, Pastel Tiffany and the Dashing Circles, Dashing Rectangles and Dashing Squares dies combined with the related Creative Circles, Creative Rectangles, Creative Squares dies. Of course, the beautiful flowers of the “Happy Flowers” die set could not be missing, as well as the “Spring Greenery” die. For journaling I used the “Hug Me” Clear Stamp Set.

I hope the project has inspired you! If you decide to do it too, if you like, remember to tag us we will share your beautiful work!

Thanks and good creativity!

Francesca.
