MIXED MEDIA XMAS CARD

Hi everyone!

It's Laura Volpes and today I am back with a new video, showing how to create a mixed media Christmas card with the Fern dies and the Wishes stamp set.

For the card base I used papers from the Xmas LE paper pad. I die cut them with the Dashing Squares dies and glued them together.

I then created my mixed media background with the Wishes stamp set and Distress Ink in Rustic Wilderness. The steps are shown in the video, so check it out for all the details! I basically created a faux watercolor background and once it was dry I brushed it with Fluffy and White Gesso.

For my die cuts, I used the Fern die. I added color and texture to some watercolor cardstock with Distress Inks in different shades of green and I die cut it to obtain my leaves.

Next, I ripped some Vellum Foil Hexagon Gold and adhered it to my mixed media background. I glued the fern leaves and moved on to the sentiment.

I used stamps in the Wish stamp set and for the sentiment banner I did some heat embossing with gold embossing powder. I glued the greetings to the card front and that finished my card.
