POP-UP EASEL MATCHBOXES

I’m Anna and today I’m sharing a couple of pop-up easel matchboxes that I made using ModaScrap products.

To begin, I die-cut the boxes out of double-sided card stock *Pastel Yellow* and *Pastel Tiffany* using the *Matchbox* die, alternating solid colors and polka dots to vary the inside and outside look of the boxes. I used white card stock for the inner drawer.

To create the pop-up element on the top of the boxes, I trimmed two strips of card stock, twice as long as the box base (16x6cm) and folded them at 8cm (½) and 12cm (¾). Next, I glued them on the boxes, leaving the folded half free to move. I used the sentiments from the *Postage Hugs* stamp set to create a ledge so that the easel element stays propped up.

Finally, I decorated the boxes using two of the adorable critters from the *Postage Hugs* stamp set, the foliage from the *Postage Summer* stamp set and a couple of frames from the *Postage Bits* stamp set.
