Sito WebHi everyone!
It's Laura Volpes here and I today am back with a fun video sharing three different Christmas projects you can create with the new ModaScrap Winter Frame and Winter Season Dies!
All the projects for today are relatively easy, feature mostly die cutting and do not require any coloring skills. I do believe these can be made by anyone! I will briefly describe each one of them in this post, but make sure to check out my video tutorial for a more in depth explaination!
The first and quickest one is a bauble-shaped Christmas Tag.
I started by creating the frame with the Dashing Circles and the Winter Frame. I die cut some Woodstock White Cardstock by ModaScrap and then die cut the scene elements from the same white cardstock. I used dies in the Winter Season set and then I glued everything to a circular card base, that I had die cut out of some Pastel Grey Cardstock. I turned the round tag in a Christmas bauble using one of the dies in the Winter Frame set.
I decorated the back with a die cut circle, where I stamped one of the sentiments in the Santa Claus stamp set. I finished off the tag with some bakers twine and moved on to my second project for today: a flat vellum shaker card.
Also in this case I used the Winter Frame and Winter Season dies to create a winter landscape. This time, though, I created a card and I used the Dashing Squares dies to die cut both the card front and the card base. In order to create a softer look, I used vellum for the shaker window and backed the shaker with some Pastel Purple cardstock. I created my sentiment with the Christmas Italian Style stamp set and finished off the card with some white Nuvo Drops.
The third and last project for today doubles up as a shadow box card and a lantern, as it was built in such a way to leave enough room for some LED lights. I personally find them really magical and was very excited to experiment with this project.
Again, the video explains the process in much more detail, so I recommend you take a look.
The base and layers of the shadow box card were created out of some Pastel Grey Cardstock. All the measurements are included in the video tutorial, if you are interested.
For each layer of the shadow box I created a separate scene, again with the Winter Frame and Winter Season dies. I assembled the shadow box and decorated the front with Nuvo Drops and my sentiment.
And that's it for today! I really hope you liked today's projects and that you felt inspired! As always, thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
Laura.
