WATERCOLOR CARD FEAT POPPIES AND LET YOUR SOUL BLOOM

For my project today I decided to create a card, which combined papers from the latest release with a previously released set. I love combining different supplies on my projects, and the *Let Your Soul Bloom* paper collection and the *Poppies stamp set*  are just perfect for each other.

I started by die cutting some watercolor cardstock with the *Dashing Rectangles* die. I then stamped the flowers in the Poppies stamp set with black ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. In oder to match the watercolor look of the papers in the Let Your Soul Bloom collection, I did some watercoloring using Distress Oxides. I also added some splatters to create extra interest on the panel.

I then chose two different paper designs (I used the 6x6” pad, perfect for cardmaking), and used them to create a strip that I glued to the left side of my watercolor panel. I also used the solid paper to frame my focal panel, before gluing it to my white card base.

For some finishing touches, I added shading and texture to the petals with a colored pencil, created some highlights with a white gel pen, and glued some clear sequins around the sentiment.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the images in the Poppies stamp set with Distress Oxide in Aged Mahogany, and that finished off my project.
