Hello crafty friends,
it's August and summer is in full swing. What could be more refreshing than cool water with delicious lemons and a little peppermint?
When I saw the new great punches "Tasty Fruits", I knew immediately that I want to craft something with lemons. We all know the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade". And indeed, I had a little "lemon moment" the other day: a stay in the hospital, which is even captured in some photos. So I was able to turn this messy episode into something beautiful while crafting.
First, I gave the background a watercolor look with a little yellow paint and lots of water. Then I punched out the lemons and watercolored them as well.
I punched out the photos in a round shape to accommodate the semi-circular shape of the lemons.
I also kept the saying in a watercolor and punched it out in different sized letters, this gives it an interesting look. Finally, I decorated my layout with a little greenery, some flowers and a few sequins in yellow.
I hope you like it and I encourage you to capture your memories, even the not so nice ones.
