XMAS TABLE CENTERPIECE

It is a certainly difficult period and the future is very uncertain, but we scrappers know how to embellish and bring joy and color to our projects, right? For this occasion I have created a decorated and colored centre table/menu holder to be placed on the table set for Christmas day.

We start from a sheet of green cardboard that measures 24x15cm and we score it at 10-12-14 (the measurements also depend on the size of the test tube to be inserted). The central band we have to cut horizontally at every 1.5cm; at the end the strips go one forward and one back and then insert the test tube which will then contain the bouquet.

From the “Christmas Italian Style” paper collection, cut from paper no. 5 two rectangles measuring 9,7x14,7cm and I glue them on the two front wings. Then I cut out two more rectangles, this time, from paper no. 6 and glue them on the back.

Cut out from sheet no. 12 and from the presentation sheet the decorations and the polka dot strip and die then from a red cardstock the poinsettia with the “Winter Greenery” die. I decorated the first page by gluing the polka dot strip, the holly and mistletoe leaves cut out and glued the poinsettia over the whole.

On the second page or always glued the leaves and above, with the thick double-sided tape, the cup, where I previously engraved some cuts, one in the middle and one on the left, to be able to insert the candy canes (you can also insert other messages...).

I decorated the other pages on the back by cutting out the presentation page and glued with the thick double-sided tape. At the top left I have stamped "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" from the "Merry Christmas" stamp board. On the other page I glued two corners folded on themselves to be able to insert the printed vellum sheet with the menu.

In the central part of the centre tableI inserted a test tube that I used as a container to insert a paper straw embellished with a bouquet formed by the punched “Fern” and “Winter Greenery".

It is a very simple project, but at the same time it decorates the table giving colour to your Christmas.
